GLOBAL CAST OF SPEAKERS IN 21st PHILIPPINE ADVERTISING CONGRESS

By Roger Pe

An author whose international bestseller Megatrends sold more than 9 million copies and New York Times bestseller for more than two years. A man who used the “Death Cigarette” brand to illustrate the power of provocation and demonstrated that powerful branding can lead to an integrated brand-marketing agency.

John Naisbitt, also author of the 1994 book, Global Paradox and BJ Cunningham, who said “the future is about market depth and involvement not market width and awareness,” are two plenary session heavyweights that will set the Philippine Advertising Congress on fire when the country’s most awaited advertising festival opens on November 18 to 21, 2009.

The 21st edition of the PAC returns to the Philippines’ summer capital of Baguio City, where past memorable Advertising Congresses had been staged. Inspite of the market slowdown, organizers expect heavy turnouts from advertising, marketing, media, PR, including the student sectors.
The Baguio Ad Congress line up also boasts of other global and regional luminaries, experts who are expected to ignite every single session: Nick Moore, EVP/Chief Creative Officer of Wunderman, Mike Schalit, founding partner of Network BBDO, Tony Wright, President and CEO of Lowe Worldwide, Bernhard Glock, VP Global Media and Communications of P&G, John Mildenhall, Global Marketing Chief of Coca Cola.
Tony Fernandes, CEO of Air Asia, Richard Fraser, Regional Managing Director, Proximity Asia, Kintaro Kimura, Co-CEO, CD and Account Planner, Hakuhodo Kettle, Inc. Japan, Vishnu Mohan, CEO of Havas Digital Asia Pacific, Peter Pezaris, founder and CEO of Multiply.com, Ian Stewart, Head of Asia, Friendster, Sandy Agarwal , Director for Asia Pacific, Nokia, Mark Inkster, GM for Southeast Asia, Microsoft, Andrew Kingham, MD of The Marketing Store HK and Jeremy Carr, VP of Cartoon Network Speakers.
On penultimate night, the Congress will award the Philippines’ best in creative advertising – The “Araw” across all media categories, where BBDO, TBWA, JWT and Campaigns & Grey have been big winners previously.

This year’s theme is “Ano Sa Tingin Mo?” (Perspective) and overall chairman is Margot Torres, Philippine Adboard Director and Philippine Association of National Advertisers Vice President.
